The Government of Indonesia has received financing in the amount of US$ 20,000,000.00 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Investing in Nutrition and Early Years (INEY), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the Government of Indonesia.

The project will include the following components: Component 1 related to Program for Result, which will be financed through loan; Component 2 will be financed by GFF, with the possibility of crowding in more resources throughout implementation. The investments will improve the quality of program implementation through targeted support to the key Government counterparts in implementing convergent stunting reduction programs at both the national and local levels. Under component 2, the Implementing Agency will be hiring consulting firm through Quality-and Cost Based Selection, procurement of non-consulting services through National Competitive Procurement method, procurement of small goods through request for quotation and hiring several individual consultants.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016, revised November 2017) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank’s external website and the Implementing Agencies website and/or  newspaper of national circulation in the Borrower’s country.

Prequalification/Initial Selection of suppliers and contractors is not expected to be used under the project.
